Today ITP Studios rolls out to you the next character from BIT+ Series 14 "Saturday Mornings 2", the leader of the AutoBots, Optimus Prime!! I remember crying when Optimus Prime died in the Transformers movie as a kid. That was some serious stuff for a kids cartoon back then. No one ever died in cartoons that I can remember. But at least we got Rodimus Prime out of it. I have design him one day. Transformers are one of those cartoons that will hopefully be around forever, much like the TMNT. I was so happy to enjoy the original cartoon series all over again with my boys. Transformer prime was a great series too (and Beast Wars). The movies started out ok, but the newer ones are just Michael Bay craziness, which is OK for time to time, but I want more out of the Transformers. There is more than meets the eye to them. Ha. Next up from BIT+ Series 14 "Saturday Mornings 2" is the character that originally was to be the main villain She-Ra Princess of Power, the captain of the Horde, Cat-RA!! Really liked this character. Thought it was cool that she would transform into a panther. Man, that series had so many cool characters. If they can bring back My Little Pony, someone needs to bring back this series. From BIT+ Series 14 "Saturday Mornings 2", comes the Princess of Power, SHE-RA!! I had be wanting to create this one for a one time and she is finally here. I have not seen that much She-Ra out there when I go to Comic Conventions, which surprises me. Would really like to see She-Ra get rebooted. I think it would be awesome. Much like the last couple BIT+ Paper Toys, this one came together very easy. It could be that I have done so many now that I am not running into the problems I would have when I first started, or maybe just the fact that I love this characters so much I already know what I want them to look like so it makes it easier. Next up from BIT+ Series 14 "Saturday Mornings 2" comes one of my favorite cartoon villains, from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, SKELETOR!! I think Skeletor is one of the best designed characters from He-Man. He was such a goof in the original series but because everything else was so goofing you didn't really noticed that much. His insults were so funny too. In the 2002 series, I thought he was done perfectly. I wish the series would have been able to have a third season so we could have seen Hordac plus how he and Skeletor would have acted towards one another. This was another paper toy design that just went smoothly. I knew right away how I want him to look and am very happy with the end result. Hello everyone!! I know with the last post I mentioned that I would not be posting any new BIT+ Paper Toys for the next month so I could catch up on some commissions, but I forgot that I had a full series already done and not posted online. Over the next week I will be posting BIT+ Series 14, which is the second installment of the Saturday Mornings themed BIT+ Paper Toys. First up we have one of my favorite cartoons growing up as a kid, and the 2002 series was really good as well, He-Man!! He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was a great cartoon, with wicked action figures. He-Man was the first toy that I remember having a lot of. And I had a lot of them. A few years ago I found a wicked Hordac bust that sits in my office. Hopefully one day I will find a cool Skeletor bust to go with him. There is not much to say about the He-Man BIT+ Paper Toy. He came together really easy and I was able to finish him in half a day I think. Thank you to everyone that came by the booth...
